We quality check each and every one of our products and goods by hand before delivering it to you, because we want you to be happy with your purchase. However, should any of our products contain any manufacturing defects, you may exchange or refund your purchase, subject to the terms below.

Defective goods

For defective goods, our policy is as follows:
(please also read below for information on what does not constitute a defect)

  1. Within 7 days of delivery, you must notify us in writing that your product contains a manufacturing defect, which notice must contain your name, contact number and product purchased.
  2. You will be requested to send a picture of the defective product/section so that we can fully understand that issue.
  3. The defective product will be collected at our expense.
  4. Once the product has been returned, it will be checked. If the defective product contains a manufacturing defect, you have the option of a refund or exchange.

Defective goods / manufacturing defect does not include wear and tear, damage due to incorrect use, damage caused after shipping our products to you.

The following will NOT be regarded as defects:

Each and every one of our products are hand made. By its nature, each product will be different. You accordingly accept that the picture on the website (www.rustandrevenge.co.za) will not necessarily be a picture of the product you receive insofar as the leather will have inter alia different textures, differ slightly in colour, have different stitching, different colour linings and different markings.

Leather has natural texture and leather is a skin and contains scars, scratches and branding that occur during the life of the animal. These are not defects but rather give leather it’s unique quality. We do not consider, under any circumstance, a branding mark or scar to be a defect.

Please note: these handbags are all handmade and therefore size can differ by up to 5cm. We do our best to create consistent sizes but these bags are handmade so variation is possible. 

Non-defective goods

If you wish to return or exchange non-defective goods, our policy is as follows:

  1. We can only return or exchange products if it is in the same condition as when you received it, with packaging undamaged and intact and unused.
  2. Within 5 days of delivery, you must notify us in writing that you wish to return or exchange your product, which notice must contain your name, contact number and product purchased. Please also let us know your reason.
  3. You will be contacted and arrangements will be made for the product to be collected from you through our courier.
  4. You will be required to pay the courier fees for such collection/delivery.
  5. Upon receipt of your product, same will be checked to ensure that it is correct and in the same condition as when we shipped it. If we are satisfied with the product, we will inform you in writing after which you may exchange it for a different product or request a refund of the difference between your courier and purchase price. (the courier fees includes the original delivery and the collection.)

An administration fee of R50 will be levied on all non-defective exchanges.

Notwithstanding the above, we reserve our rights to refuse any exchanges or returns of non-defective goods.
